Beware of the Purpose Pushers

I can't stand being pushed. To be knocked off of my stance. To be moved in a way that I was not prepared for. Pushing makes you upset, annoyed, and often...movable. It is something that as children we were always told, "Don't push, it's rude". Yet what happens when you encounter pushing that leads you to purpose?
Recently I sat in a room with the ladies that you see in the photo above for an amazing conversation about purpose, growth, and elevation as black women in a professional setting. While it was my first time meeting 2 of the ladies, each woman in this photo, along with a few more, are all purpose pushers. They push. They shake it up. They make you move. They have the audacity to be amazing, uplifting, and most of all purposed.
Let me be clear, they are purpose pushers. They can and will motivate, encourage, and push you walk in your greatness. Yet, beware of people who push you to purpose. Like...be on high alert, because purpose pushers will guide you to see and be more than what you can see in yourself. They do things like...speak life into you, call out what you cannot see in you, and most of all...they love you. Can you believe it?
While I am being beautifully dramatic, I am super grateful for all the people in my life, including those in this photo, who push me daily in my purpose. I trust that God (who is the ULTIMATE purpose pusher) places them in our lives for various reasons at various times. Sometimes it is to motivate, other times it is to help kick our butts into high gear. It can be to listen to us vent and/or cry, but in the end it is to remind us of what we need to do to catapult ourselves to the next level. Remember that pushing hurts, it can be irritating, but that move...that purpose move, prepares you for your best move. So, beware of the purpose pushers, cause they are out there...and they are amazing!

Love this! Thank you for being a safe space creator and a purpose pusher!!
