Don't Veto Your Vision

In 2023, I created a vision board for myself to accomplish so much within the year. I had sections for love, health, finances, and AshleySpeak. I spent close to an hour prepping, designing, and creating this vision board for my new year. Once I finished, I prayed over it, cleaned up my mess, and stuck it in the linen closet (to keep it out of reach of my kiddos).
My intention was to take it out, review what I put on there, and mark my milestones as I completed my vision goals. That never happened. My beautiful and put together vision board kept up space in the linen closet and stayed there. I spent the remainder of that year watching others walk in purpose while I sat on the sidelines with my power in the linen closet.
According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, one definition for the word veto means to refuse to admit or approve. In that moment when I put my vision board in the closet, I was refusing to approve it for myself. I was saying that it looked good on paper (or board), but it wasn't good enough for me to put my effort, my time, and my energy into it. Have you ever felt like this? Like what you know you are created to do felt unworthy to you? I have, and let me tell you...it's a hard feeling to shake. Especially when you look around and it feels like you're on pause while others are skating to their next level.
I want to encourage you to not veto your vision or your purpose. What God placed inside of you, wrote in those beautiful plans He has for your life, that is something that is destined and designed, meaning that it's supposed to happen...and YOU are supposed to carry them out. Earlier in January 2025 I hosted our first annual Vision Board party, and as I walked around the graphics and quotes my sweet sisters were praying, manifesting, and envisioning over their lives deserve to come to pass. They deserve the abundance, the finances, the marriages, the children, and so much more. They also deserve to operate in their purpose because that is what God wants for them...and you...and me. Take charge and keep your vision front and center...you've got this!
