In This Season...

Each year many states go through 4 seasons: fall, winter, spring, and summer. Each season brings its own set of variables: cooler weather, rain, snow, sun, wind, rain, and the list goes on. Each season allows for us to change up our wardrobe, car care, home care, and even our attitude. Some people cannot handle cold seaons, because it makes their joints hurt, and often if the sun doesn't come out, it can lead to mood changes. Some cannot handle too much heat. Others can handle occasional rain, but constant rain for 6 months is too difficult, and often depressing for some.

With the end of each season, there is a chance for reset. To rid of things that carried in you in one season, but won't do the trick in the next. When we step into a new personal season, we are looking to rid ourselves of what is no longer needed or necessary for what you need. In this current season for me, I am speaking my worth. I am claiming that I deserve more than what I have ever given myself. One prime example is my weight loss. I know I'm worth taking care of myself, but I didn't have the self control or even self confidence to stay with anything for longer than 4 hours. "Mine as well just eat it, you won't do anything to change." "Just drink the detox tea and eat whatever you want." "At least you're not AS BIG as some other people." Those were the thoughts I allowed to live rent free in my head to justify why I wasn't worth the fight.

Now, I will be totally honest, I still struggle with all those thoughts sometimes, but instead of giving into them, I'm speaking my worth to those thoughts. "Look how far you've come." "You are making better choices, and seeing the results." "Focus on your goals, because you deserve to be happy, not just content." What are you speaking in this season of your life?
