Just Between Us Two...

Can I tell you a secret? Like, you cannot tell a soul that I told you this. You ready? I am so proud of you. I know, I know, you prolly thought I had some juicy secret share or tea to spill, but I think too often we forget to share our love and admiration for one another. To truly allow our pride for our fellow sister-girl to shine brightly.

So just between us good girlfriends, how are you? How have you been? Are you allowing yourself time to rest? To refresh? To just be? We all move at the speed of light, taking care of kids, working, trying to make sure our capes don't get caught in the door when we are going in and out every day, that we often forget to take a minute and just...breathe.

So between us good girlfriends, can I share something with you? I struggle every day. With trying to keep up at work, making sure I'm being a good mom to my kids, bills, daycare, and other projects and committees I'm on...oh yeah, and church. Notice that no where in there did I mention myself. Like pouring into myself, taking time for myself, being here for myself. Well, here's my big secret: I'm done with the pressure. I'm done with the cape. I'm done trying to be something I am not. I'm a mama, who loves her babies and Jesus, who works hard to love and encourage others, and who forever is a work in progress. So just know when it feels like you're sinking...I'm right here, ready to have a little talk between us girls.
