Love of my Life

I have often wondered what it feels like to meet the “love of your life.” To see that special someone and just know they were meant to be in your life for all of eternity. How God knew that they were designed and destined for you from the creation of the world. For the longest, I thought the love of my life was a man, this tall, dreamy being with a deep voice and Colgate smile. And I searched for him many a time over until I finally realized that the true love of my life was someone I had never physically met, but knew on a deeper and more personal level.

Jesus is the one who loves us unconditionally, totally, and completely. If you don’t have a relationship with him, I truly encourage you to open up a bible, get an bible app, or just google some scripture and get to know this amazing man who God sent in the flesh to save humanity and us from sin. “But Ashley, how is this man the love of your life?” Great question. He is someone who loves me flaws and all. He listens when I bring my issues, trials, tribulations, and joys to Him. He forgives me when I don’t always make the best choices, and most importantly, He literally died for me. He took upon my sins, your sins, the world’s sins, so we could live a life pleasing unto Him. Now if that ain’t love, baby I don’t know what is!

There will be days where it is a struggle to push forward, to listen to the Jesus in you to not cuss that co-worker out or the rude person in line. There will be days that it just feels like everything is falling apart and no one understands or gets it. Little secret? Jesus absolutely gets it. He understands and He wants us to lean and depend on Him and trust that He will carry us and guide us daily.
