Sitting in My Peace

Everyone has their own definition of what peace is and looks like. For some it is eliminating toxic relationships and habits. For others it is finding calmness in the midst of storms and feelings of stress and anxiety. No matter what everyone may or may not define peace as, there is one thing we can all agree on: Everyone needs peace.
"I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid." John 14:27 (NLT)
I am a firm believer that the peace that Jesus gives us is a gift that is unlike any other. To be able to lay our problems, troubles, and hurts with the Savior, and allow him to truly move in our lives to live not only with peace, but in peace...that is something I pray in this season of my life I do more of.
Living in peace means to let go of things I cannot control, people that I have outgrown, and habits that are distancing me from my purpose. It is me turning to God, leaving my worries in His hands, and loving on those who love me back. Living in peace means to take the moments to enjoy the morning sunrise and the evening sunsets. To bask in the beauty of your children's laughter, and the joy of the birds singing in the morning. To allow the tears to fall...sometimes just because. Living in peace also means to know that Jesus has you when the it feels that the world is tossing you and fro. My prayer for you in 2025 and beyond is that you experience peace in your life and that you have times that you can just sit in awe of the peace and love of the Almighty God, our Father.
