So This Is...Self Love

So, this is self love. This feeling of accomplishment, pride, and joy I have for myself. This new space is creating my path, seeking God for what I need, instead of allowing my flesh to be my GPS. This form of self love is unlike anything I've ever experienced. It's authentic, beautiful, and real. I really can't explain it, because it's mine to have. Just like for you, it's solely for you. My wish for anyone reading this is to know that you owe yourself the joy you pray for. The joy you wish for when others reach their goals. You owe yourself the love you so freely give people who don't return it.

So...here I am at 40, learning to accept that I owe myself everything. I owe myself mad respect, love, peace, transparency, and forgiveness. I owe myself chances to say yes and to learn from my mistakes and stumbles. I owe myself beauty, health, well-being, and peace of mind. I owe myself honesty in knowing that I am still growing and transparency to share that I fuck up too (and I ain't perfect!). I owe myself a life free of thinking I am nothing, yet knowing and believing I deserve everything.
